It eventually gained recognition as the preferred online destination for those in search of companionship. This thread was initiated on July 14, 2004, and, at one point it ranked as the first result when searching "I am lonely" on Google. Since then, countless online forums have emerged and disappeared in the hidden corners of the Internet—as of now, there are 70+ million active daily users on Reddit alone. For a long time, the message board of the Stones Throw label was considered a top destination for hip-hop heads and beat makers. One of the most active members was the user "Wolf Haley"—who later, in 2011, shot to fame under the alias Tyler, The Creator with his debut album Goblin. The forum no longer exists, but the connection between Stones Throw and Tyler, The Creator remains. In 2018, the rapper licensed the instrumental from Prophet's "Wanna Be Your Man"—a beat produced by Stones Throw artists James Pants and Mdsgn—and used it for his own song "Peach Fuzz".
