To All the 12th House Mooners out There

Ahya Simone, Tapiwa Sosve 12th House Moon (2025)

Ever since I got an account on the astrology app Co-Star, I’ve known that my Moon and Uranus are in my 12th House. Sounds cool, but what does it actually say about me? Anyone who has ever tried to navigate the Wikipedia article about the astrological houses knows that it’s not exactly easy to understand. I still don’t fully get it, but here’s my attempt to shed some light on it:

In astrology, the 12 houses represent different areas of life, ranging from career and relationships to inner processes. The 12th house, for example, is considered the house of spirituality and deep emotional dimensions. It is the place of secrets and inner reflection. When the Moon—the symbol of emotions, intuition and the subconscious—is located in this house, it’s referred to as a “12th House Moon” placement. People with this placement often have an extraordinary sensitivity and intuition. Their emotional world is strongly connected to the subconscious and spiritual experiences.

So, to all my fellow 12th House Mooners, I have something for you: the ethereal jazz-infused song “12th House Moon” by American harpist Ahya Simone with Swiss musician Tapiwa Sosve on the flute. The mystical sounds perfectly capture the deep emotions associated with a Moon placement in the 12th house. The music feels dreamy, mysterious, and invites you to deep-dive into your subconscious.

Whether you believe in the stars or not, “12th House Moon” will definitely take you to a whole new dimension.
